Isle of Wight Junior Masters
ISLE OF WIGHT JUNIOR MASTERS 2026.

, 12th April was the first Island Junior Golf Event of the season,
held at Westridge Golf Centre. At 12 pm
, we had 14 junior golfers who currently hold a WHS handicap go through a skills challenge involving putting with James Veal, chipping with Christopher Reed and the full swing with Steven Davis, before
Taking to the golf course over 9 holes to compete for the Isle of Wight Junior Masters Trophy 2026.
Whilst these players battled the windy conditions, we had the next group of 21 young golfers spend an hour on the range
, getting a few tips before they took to the course with 20 shots each to get as far round
as they could.
This event was won by Alfie Jackson, who completed 3 holes and was close to the green on his 4th hole to win the Flag competition!
In the Junior Masters trophy event, some great scores were posted with Jack Burke scoring 20 pts to win the trophy, finishing 1 point above Finley Seabrook with
19 points and Oliver Slade with 18 points
in 3rd place, who also picked up the prize for the best Gross score.
This is the first event of a series of competitions across the majority of golf clubs on the Island
